The Crazy Rhythm Big Band
Upwards of 20 musicians play in this band directed by Bruce Chilton. The
band plays a wide range of charts including Ellington, Basie and Glenn
Miller numbers and, for the more modern critics, a little Funk. Crazy
Rhythm fulfills the important function as a nursery for young talent in
the province and it is good to see that some of the more experienced
players are happy to work alongside them - namely Trevor Tattersfield,
Ashley Windsor, Ken Wellington and Ian Sherborne. The band has made at
least one album.
